Governor Josh Shapiro Recognizes Draw For A Dream

Governor of Pennsylvania, Josh Shapiro, recognizes Draw For A Dream. A letter was sent to six-year-old Draw For A Dream initiator, Kaylinh Lundell. On the letter, The Governor thanked Kaylinh for using her "creativity and empathy to help uplift other children and putting in the time and effort to raise money for honorable causes".

Kaylinh was over the moon when she received her letter. This was her reaction.

Kaylinh's Mom: "Oh my goodness Kaylinh! Look what came into the mail!"

Kaylinh: "A letter?"

Kaylinh's Dad: "Whoa! A letter from the Governor! Kaylinh, this is so cool. You may not know how cool this is yet but this is really cool."

Kaylinh: "What is a Governor?"

Kaylinh's Mom: "The Governor of our state of Pennsylvania is like the Principal in a school. So if the Principal at your school says that Kaylinh is doing very important work to your whole school, in front of all your friends and teachers, wouldn’t that be a very cool thing?"

Kaylinh: "Yea. So the Governor is the boss of Pennsylvania?"

Kaylinh's Mom: "Yes!"

Kaylinh: "Whoa! The boss of Pennsylvania knows about my Draw For A Dream?"

Kaylinh's Dad: "Yes!"

Kaylinh: "Ahhh!!!!" (and then giggles and then run around the room)
